With our Senior Stay or Go TM Program, we visit the home to complete an initial assessment. During this visit, we determine whether or not there is enough personal property to warrant an estate sale, or if the home needs to be cleaned out.
We then report back to the trustee to determine which course of action they would like to take. At that time, we will also change all the locks and get all of the remotes, keys, etc. that we can find in the home so they are ready for the next potential homeowner.
One of the other assessments that needs to be done is to determine whether any repairs need to be done to the home before it is put on the market, or whether it makes sense to sell it as-is. We complete a home and pest inspection prior to selling the home, in order to put the trustee in a knowledgeable position for future negotiating purposes. Then, we will get our contractors and subcontractors into the home to provide estimates for various repairs. The trustee has all the information necessary to make the best educated decision on behalf of the trust.
In this particular situation, we have 1 trustee and 15 beneficiaries. So, we have many people that need to be satisfied at the same time.
